Chris Stevens B Ost
Chris is a Structural and Cranial Osteopath who graduated from the BSO in 2005 with an award from HRH Princess Anne for highest performing student. Chris has 13 years experience in Osteopathy, Sports Therapy and Personal Training making him an excellent choice for sports injuries and rehabilitation for both professional and everyday sport.
David Wells
David Wells is a fully qualified Chiropractor, registered with the General Chiropractic council and a member of the British Chiropractic Association.
Dave has lived in Cheltenham his whole life and has a lifelong interest in the human body and in particular biomechanics.
I was inspired by Chiropractic first in my teenage years following suffering with headaches following playing rugby. After my treatment I was astonished at the remission of my headaches, but also about how my body had improved in mobility.
Chiropractic is a great natural way to facilitate your body in healing and recovery and maintain good health.
Karl J Turner BSc (HONS) Ost Med
Karl J Turner BSc (HONS) Ost Med Qualified in 1997 as an Osteopath/Cranial osteopath, prior to which he worked as an auxillary nurse. He studied osteopathic medicine, which means he is trained to use osteopathy to treat chest, ear and throat infections and difficulties with breathing and digestion as well as aches, pains and injuries.
Karl has an interest in helping relieve the strains of pregnancy and labour, as well as complications of delivery using a mix of both cranial and structural osteopathy.
Joanna Turner
Jo is a structural Osteopath graduating from BSO in 2006. Prior to that she qualified in sports therapy and rehabilitation, specialising in sports injuries. She also has qualifications in Ergonomics and Sports Massage, working with the International Rugby teams and the London Marathon runners, allowing her to create tailor made treatments for each individual.
She also has qualifications in nutrition and sports massage, working with International Rugby teams and the London Marathon Runners.
Jane Bartholomew MAR ART (Regd)
Jane trained at the Oxford School of Reflexology and is a professional registered practitioner with the Association of Reflexologists. The association’s aim is to maintain a high standard of client care and members abide by the association’s code of practice and ethics. She is also a member of the register of advanced reflexologists. Since qualifying Jane has continued her professional development by attending courses in Advanced Reflexology Techniques, Palliative and Supportive Care and Reflexology in Pregnancy. Jane is also trained in and practices Chinese Reflexology and foot mobilisation.
She has undertaken Maternity training with Denise Tiran, a practising midwife, University lecturer, author and practitioner of several therapies. Denise is an internationally renowned authority on maternity related complementary medicine. Jane has also studied maternity reflexology with Moshe Kruchik a qualified reflexologist, Pregnancy and Childbirth Therapist, Childbirth educator and lecturer.
Jane has worked as an occupational therapist and nursing assistant on oncology wards in both Cheltenham and Manchester and has a qualification in palliative care. Both these units were in the first of their kind to offer alternative and holistic treatments in support of palliative care.
Peter Packard
Peter Packard practices and teaches Traditional Thai Massage in the UK and Thailand. Initially he was trained in Northern Thailand at The Old Medicine Hospital, Chiang Mai. Return trips to Thailand with study under both Thai and Western Masters have continued and consolidated his understanding of this art. Developing his knowledge of the body he studied Chinese Medicine at Bodyharmonics in Cheltenham and in Beijing, China. This has led to becoming a qualified Tui Na practitioner and Acupuncturist.
Before moving to Cheltenham Peter worked with ‘The Pure Medicine Group’ in Harley Street, London. He has been in full time practice since 2001.
Ineke Harris
Ineke has been involved with complementary therapy since 1998, training at the Cotswold Academy of Health. She has qualifications in Body Massage, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology and later went on to study Manual Lymphatic Drainage through the Dr Vodder School.
Andy Avis
Andy has qualfications in BTEC Level 4 Sports massage, ITEC Level 3 Anatomy Physiology and Massage & Reflexology. He is an accredited trainer in ‘Anatomy, Physiology and Massage’ and also in ‘Sports massage and injury rehabilitation’. Despite its name, Sports Massage can benefit everyone. Whether you sit at a desk all day, play with the children or work in the garden, Sports Massage is for you.
John Leah B Ost
John graduated from The British College of Naturopathy in 1987 (now the British College of Osteopathic Medicine). Since graduating in Osteopathy, John has complemented his osteopathic education with an MSc in Exercise and Health Sciences at Bristol University and an MA in Environment, Society and Culture at Lancaster University (where he is currently studying for a PhD).
His approach is holistic and broad ranging, drawing from the varied background and experience gained over 20 years of Osteopathic practice and related health promotion work. Both cranial and structural approaches may be incorporated into treatment with the aim of not just resolving presenting symptoms but promoting improved physical function and good health.
John can help people of all ages from newborn babies and children to the elderly, sports injuries, and work related symptoms and symptoms from illness and conditions.
Jenny Rooze BSc. (Hons)
Jenny is a member if the British Psychological Society and has over 18 years experience in Holistic Therapy, She is qualified in several different therapies including Massage, Aromatherapy massage, Oriental face, neck and shoulder massage, Natural face lift, (good for headaches and sinus congestion). Cellulite buster for legs and thighs. Reflexology, Thai foot massage, Hopi ear candles (good for ear and sinus problems) and
Detox Top to Toe treatment (very relaxing 2 hour treatment).
For any stress related problems that need relaxing she is particularly good for and can combine treatments according to your needs.
Jenny also has experience with pregnancy reflexology, including Induction treatments and Fertility issues.
Laura Gardner Wedge – MSc, MCSP. MHPC, BAHT
Laura qualified with an MSc Physiotherapy degree from the University of Birmingham, having previously attained a BSc. (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
Since qualifying, Laura has worked in both Private Clinics and NHS Hospitals in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Avon, working mostly in Musculoskeletal Out-Patients. This has included work with elite sportsmen and women, and also in Orthopedic In-Patient services.
Laura has a particular interest in the upper limb and as a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists has a special interest in hand therapy. She has undertaken additional training in Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and currently runs Intermediate and Post Natal Pilates here at Prestbury Holistic Centre.
Ann Caroll
Ann is a committed therapist with over 15 years experience in Shiatsu and Thai Yoga massage. Ann initially trained in Shiatsu at the Ohashi institute in New York and soon after began studying Thai Massage with the ITTA. Since then frequent visits to Thailand have been taken to continue studying the therapy.
In 2005 Ann completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course and has been teaching regular classes ever since.
She has also gone onto complete specific courses in pregnancy yoga.
Nicole McKendry Dip.Hyp (ETUK) MCTHA, DPLT
Therapy: Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mind-body Approach
Nicole is a professional registered clinical hypnotherapist, trained by Dr Raymond Roberts from the highly regarded Elestial Training and is an accredited member of The Clinical and Therapeutic Hypnosis Association (CTHA). She has been in practice for over 5 years treating minor/ habitual to deep rooted psychological or emotional conditions, while continuing to advance her professional development by attending courses and updating techniques.
Nicole has a particular interest in fertility and womens’ health and specialises in the treatment of fertility issues and related conditions with the application of hypnosis and other mind-body approaches.
She is also one of the few registered and licensed Hypno-Band Weight Loss System practitioners in Gloucestershire. In addition to hypnotherapy, Nicole is qualified in Smoking Cessation and has been awarded an accredited certificate in Smoking Cessation Level 2 by the Royal College of Nursing. As a qualified and trained Smoking Cessation Consultant, she has worked in partnership with the NHS providing smoking cessation advice clinics as part of an independent health organisation
